Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour-1 cupSugar-1/4 cup+2 tbsp
Unsalted Butter-100g or 1/2 cup(room temperature)
Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
Chopped nuts-1/4 cup
Salt-1/4 cup

Method:
1.In a medium sized bowl ,whisk together whole wheat flour,sugar and salt .Set aside.2.In another bowl, soften the butter using a spatula.Add vanilla essence to it .
3.Next,add the chopped nuts and mix well with the softened butter.
4.Now add the flour little by little and mix with spatula or hand until a soft dough is formed.
5.Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
6.Make small balls out of the dough and flatten it with the hands.Place the cookies one on a lined baking tray about one inch apart.
7.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges of the cookies start to brown .
8.Allow it to cool down completely.
Notes:
- Baking time varies for each oven.So start checking the cookies from 15 minutes.
- You can add chopped nuts of your choice.I used only cashew nut.
- If you feel that dough is not soft enough,you can add 1-2 tbsp milk to it.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for 2 weeks.
